Rio de Janeiro (dpa) - Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is used to challenging tussles with Serbia‘s Novak Djokovic, but it is the world number one‘s compatriot, Viktor Troicki, who will provide Murray‘s first test at the Rio Olympics on Sunday.

"A tough match" was Murray‘s verdict on the tie when speaking to reporters Thursday.

"He‘s one of the better players that‘s not seeded, he likes the hard courts," he added. "Good competitor, good mover. It‘s definitely a tough opening match."

However, if Murray plays to his best, he is unlikely to have many problems in moving into the next round - he is unbeaten with the 30-year-old world 35 Troicki in seven meetings.

Murray is second seed in Rio behind Djokovic, but is on a high after winning his second Wimbledon title and third grand slam earlier in the year. He is also Olympic champion from London 2012 and eager to claim another gold after the honour of carrying the British flag in Friday‘s opening ceremony.

"It‘s the proudest moment of my career, it‘s inspiring to do something like that," Murray said. "I‘m sure it will help me a lot in the next nine or 10 days."
