Rio de Janeiro (dpa) - Brazil‘s Adilson da Silva will take the first tee shot when golf returns to the Olympics after a 112-year absence in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday.

The 44-year-old da Silva is partnered by Canadian Graham DeLaet and South Korean An Byeong-Hun, and begins at 7:30 am (1030 GMT) in the draw announced by governing body IGF Thursday.

Other groups of note include two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson partnering two-time major winner Martin Kaymer at 9:14 am while Rickie Fowler is out with Justin Rose in the penultimate group at 10.58 am.

Open champion Henrik Stenson goes out last at 11:09 am.

The men‘s golf tournament runs August 11-14 in Rio and was hit by a number of high profile withdrawals. None of the world‘s top four will be in attendance having cited various health concerns as reasons for not travelling to Brazil.
