Amsterdam (dpa) - Geert Wilders predicts that his Party for Freedom (PVV) will top the next elections in the Netherlands as final results continued to trickle in showing the PVV in second place.

"We were the third party in the Netherlands. We‘re now the second party in the Netherlands. And the next time we will be number one," he tweeted in Dutch.

Wilders said he was "really proud (of the) more than a million Dutch supporters" the party has gained 12 years after it was established.
