Berlin (dpa) - The International Olympic Committee (IOC) "will not hesitate to take the toughest sanctions available against any individual or organization implicated" in doping, its president Thomas Bach says.

The IOC executive board will hold a telephone conference on Tuesday to take decisions "which may include provisional measures and sanctions with regard to the Olympic Games Rio 2016," an IOC statement said.

It follows a report by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) which has revealed state-controlled doping in Russian sport.

The IOC will now "carefully study the complex and detailed allegations in particular with regard to the Russian Ministry of Sport," a statement said.

Bach said: "The findings of the report show a shocking and unprecedented attack on the integrity of sports and on the Olympic Games.

"Therefore, the IOC will not hesitate to take the toughest sanctions available against any individual or organisation implicated."
