Berlin (dpa) - Germany‘s National Olympic Committee (NADA) calls on Russia to be excluded from the Rio Olympics next month following a report by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on doping in Russian sport.

NADA chairwoman Andrea Gotzmann said: "Every person and every institution that disregards the anti-doping rules of WADA must reckon with drastic consequences, otherwise internationally agreed rules make no sense."

Gotzmann said the WADA investigation had exposed "shocking facts" and shown the anti-doping system had been "massively undermined with fraudulent intention."

She added: "The McLaren report leaves only one conclusion: NADA urges the International Olympic Committee ensure that Russian athletes will not be admitted to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro."
