Athens (dpa) - Greece‘s governing coalition on Wednesday ended an eight-hour meeting without an agreement on new cost-cutting measures, which Athens will have to adopt to receive further loans to avoid a looming bankruptcy.

The three party leaders backing the coalition government under Prime Minister Lucas Papademos appeared to disagree on creditor‘s demands for cuts in auxiliary pensions.

Reports said Papademos will continue negotiations with representatives of the eurozone and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) well into early Thursday. dpa cp fff Author: Christine Pirovolakis
