Cairo (dpa) - Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri has left Cairo for Beirut, two weeks after announcing his resignation in Saudi Arabia, according to sources at Cairo airport.

Hariri announced his resignation in a broadcast message from Saudi Arabia on November 4, but President Michel Aoun has yet to accept it.

In Cairo, Hariri held talks with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi.

Hariri came to Cairo from Paris, where he held a string of meetings about his country‘s political crisis, including with French President Emmanuel Macron.
