One of the most important Italian festivals will be repeated in the summer of 2010; in its 19th edition, Mittelfest - a festival of prose, music, dance, poetry, visual arts and puppetry from Central European Countries, has always aimed at helping create and spread a new setting for cultural, political and economic exchanges, by means of dialogue among artists, intellectuals and political, cultural and economic entities from the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and from the countries of the Central European area.

This year as well, the Festival aims at renewing the richness of the previous editions, ranging from Kafka to the building of Time, from the magic Prague to the Fall of the Berlin Wall, the fundamental theme of the last edition.
The distinctive feature of the European culture, which has always been the Festival’s central element, is the ability to persistently renew itself, bringing up in its midth people gifted with unique creative qualities, the so-called “European geniuses”, who were often able to cause, with their art, very deep changes in morals and habits.

The world of entertainment and artistic communication is also undergoing epochal changes: Therefore, MittelFest cannot abstain from a comparative survey between traditional entertainment and the dawn of the new ways of performing.

Moreover, thanks to interesting holiday packages, tourists will have the opportunity to discover the attractions of Cividale and the regional territory, with guided tours of the ducal city and of the Valli del Natisone, along with gourmet itineraries.
