Bolt says he is fit again after injury

Berlin (dpa) - Jamaican sprint star Usain Bolt has regained his fitness after a thigh-muscle problem and is ready to compete again Friday in London in his preparations for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

"I‘m good, I‘m feeling good, been training good now," Bolt said on Thursday ahead of his start over 200 metres at the Diamond League meet in London.

The six-time Olympic and 11-time world champion Bolt pulled out of last month‘s Jamaican trials with a torn hamstring muscle and then went to see German national football team doctor Hans-Wilhelm Mueller-Wohlfahrt to help him get over the scare.

"I went to see the doctor he worked his magic as always," said Bolt, who has also been treated for past injuries by Mueller-Wohlfahrt.

Bolt, 29, is listed among the Jamaican team for the August 5-21 Rio Games by a medical exemption rule but must prove his fitness in London.

Bolt also commented on the ban confirmed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Russian track and field athletes, saying it will "scare a lot of people, or send a strong message."
