Another sunny day at the Olympics, more wind in Weymouth

London (dpa) - Olympic athletes could look forward towards another sunny day of competition and sailing was also set to resume in Weymouth on Friday after men‘s medal races had to be cancelled the previous day owing to lack of wind.

Long distance swimmers at Hyde Park and BMX cyclists at Olympic Park were set to compete in temperatures reaching up to 26 degrees. The evening finals in athletics and hockey were looking at ideal conditions as well.

Wind in Weymouth was expected to pick up again for the delayed men‘s 470 class medal race, with the women‘s final to follow. dpa bag
